Sr. Manager of Sales South East
**General Description**
Responsible for the management of revenue generation in sales offices and key accounts within a geographic area or market. This role will manage sales plans and key account strategies are implemented. This role will have direct selling responsibility in SEA's largest key accounts. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities. Typically accountable for budget and policy recommendations and medium- to longer-term planning. Manage and develop more junior Sales staff. Develops Sales Management strategy as it relates to SEA's overall business strategy. Responsible for revenue generation of targeted Samsung accounts. Foster strong relationships with key accounts in order to successfully position Samsung's portfolio. Manage communications, sales promotion development, and training as required to stimulate and facilitate the sale of Samsung's products. Establish high-level as well as tactical relationships with key accounts, field sales, marketing and product teams. Manage cross-functional teams towards the launch and promotion of new solutions. Has responsibility for the operational performance of the department. Directs the resolution of complex operational and organizational problems. Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 12-15 years of directly related experience is required. Prior experience in enterprise technology sales, business development and/or OEMs and Carrier sales required. Prior experience selling technical solutions required. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong negotiation and client management skills. Prior experience in the telecommunications industry required. Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Demonstrated ability to Interact at the executive and all levels within customer's organizations and within the SEA organization. The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, VP's, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple business development programs and simultaneous performance objectives. The ability to write, read, interpret, explain and act on thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documents based on corporate legal and customer applications, engineering standards and business philosophy. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to direct staff leadership to achieve customer contracted objectives and team goals and to achieve results within established time frames and requirements. The ability to develop sales and business objectives, and metrics, to clearly define results to be achieved, to make decisions, to give direction, and to measure individual/team performance and business results. Ability to negotiate on behalf of function to come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise; issues are short-term operational and medium-term tactical or limited strategic nature.
