**Position Summary:**


You'll be in the center of an exciting new development for Lenel - bringing our first Security as a Service (SaaS) solution to the global market.


You will be taking ownership of a new product that is in active development. You will come up to speed quickly and take charge of the many decisions still to be made to ensure the product makes the impact we believe it can.


The teams around you are experts in the security market, however we will look to you to make key day-to-day and strategic decisions. To do this you will build great relationships with the Lenel Cloud Product Marketing Manager (PMM) and engineering leadership.


This is a strategic deliverable that has visibility to executive leadership so you need to be a master at making complex subjects simple. You will be equally adept at speaking at varying levels of depth to engineering teams and channel partners alike. You will demystify 'the Cloud' to all you come in contact with. You have an excellent ability to visualize your story in presentations.


All SaaS solution deliverables need to both be competitive in their own right, but also serve as part of a convergence strategy with our market-leading enterprise access control product. Therefore you both need to understand market (customer, technology, competitor) dynamics - and be able to influence decision-making within the overall product team and across engineering teams.


This is a global solution with multiple releases to market so you will naturally be inquisitive and quickly become knowledgeable on regional differences and how we meet those different customer needs.


You will possess deep analytical skills along with the ability to grasp and translate customer personas and needs into technical requirements our teams can deliver-on.


What You'll Do


+ Own the overall multi-generational product plan and every market deliverable within the product lifecycle. Prioritize and define the product / solution feature set in each release and maximize the global opportunity.

+ Be a key participant in tollgate review content creation and presentation alongside the Program Manager (PgM). Own the market and voice of customer content for this process.

+ Own key artefacts including the Business Opportunity Proposal (BOP) and the business case. Make sure the business case ties-off with the PMM's quantification of segment size, growth rate, share etc.

+ Be a proactive participant in the agile development process with the engineering team. Attend cloud scrums with the team leads twice weekly. Attend weekly meetings run by the PgM. Curate the feature backlog on a weekly basis. Define the demo script for release acceptance and accept the releases on an 8 week cycle.

+ In conjunction with the PMM, regularly visit key customers throughout the development cycles to validate requirements prioritization, ensure release competitiveness and customer buy-in. Evangelize the product leading up to and after each market release.

+ Own product management team relationships with Engineering, including Program Management, feature team leadership, Quality Assurance and Sustaining Engineering. Ensure close connection with the User Experience team in defining personas and Use Cases; sit-in on user testing reviews and weekly / periodic UX team reviews. Be the face of Product Management to the Technical Support Group, Field Sales Engineers and regional Product Management teams. Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the training team to support their content creation.

+ Be in a constant state of readiness, to present executive communications, alongside the PMM, at very short notice.

+ Conceptualize the necessary system interfaces (APIs) and their resultant productization and monetization in order to allow the SaaS solution to be able to partner with third party products.

+ Understand and optimize the end-to-end flow of money from the Cloud provider through UTC to the channel partner and ultimately to the End User to ensure competitive pricing and UTC profitability.

+ Take the lead with the Commercial Operations team to ensure all channel partner and End User interactions with UTC meet their expectations. Set quote-to-cash customer metrics and make sure they're met.

+ Take the lead with the engineering team to set Development Operations metrics and make sure they're met.

+ As SME, create the definitive facts around the solution, and work with the PMM and Marketing Communications teams to ensure those facts are presented internally and externally as persuasively and impactfully as possible.

+ Once the product is released, coordinate regular forecasting with supply chain to optimize cashflow.

+ Attend and present at key events such as industry tradeshows, bi-annual customer shows, roadshows.

+ Provide support to the PMM in their areas of ownership such as pricing, price book, segmentation, channel management, launch, market intelligence, branding, partnerships, demos etc.


**Qualification:**


+ 5+ years working and preferably product managing in agile environments

+ 5-10 years in the physical security industry

+ Deep domain knowledge: Security industry, Access Control, Video, Intrusion,

+ Proven track record working with SaaS models and IT

+ Experience with Rally and Confluence

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong influencing skills

+ Strategic view of an industry

+ Strong team player, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment

+ Ability to constantly switch between strategic, tactical and operational

+ Action-oriented - takes the initiative

+ Performs well under pressure

+ Always meets deadlines


**Education:**


+ Bachelor degree in a technical field or advanced degree preferred
