Operations Supervisor
The function of the Operations Supervisor is to coordinate and schedule production staff on all activities within Optical Systems Assembly in order to achieve a safe work environment, quality production, and on-time delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring adequate staff training and resource allocation to reach company objectives of Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
A successful supervisor will ensure compliance to company and employee standards while leading by example. This role will interface daily with production planning to ensure attainable schedules are in place and then deliver as expected. The supervisor must be able to set priorities and work cross-functionally to resolve production issues, escalating when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Responsible for daily management of managed areas.
* Meet or exceed on Safety, Quality, and Delivery goals
* Manages production and ERP system (JDE) data
* Interactions with Support groups
* Complies with health and safety policies and procedures.
* Supports company values of TEAM, TRUST, & EXCELLENCE
* Manages staff of up to 10, including annual and mid-year reviews
* Update Safety, Quality, and Delivery metrics daily
* Monthly update reports, graphs
* Make recommendations for continuous improvement
* Comply and enforce Clean Room Protocol when entering a clean room environment.
* Review attendance/punctuality
* Write performance appraisal, salary increases, promotions
* Motivate, mentor, coach, delegate
* Recommendations for hiring, terminating employees
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:
* BA/BS in a technical field or business with 5 years of manufacturing experience.
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Capacity management
* Optics experience preferred
* Production Planning experience desirable.
* At least two-years of supervisory experience
* Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
* JDE or Oracle experience preferred.
